My roles and responsibilities of dating
As an educational assistant (teaching assistant) you have a special role.
You are usually the person who spends the most time with a student during the school day.
Some parents may feel comfortable allowing a mature, responsible seventeen- or eighteen-year-old to go out on individual dates.
It's their call, of course, but here again we believe it's crucial that mom and dad know their child's dating partner and his or her parents well.
Friendship has been defined as a "voluntary interdependence between two persons over time that is intended to facilitate social-emotional goals of the participants, and may involve varying types and degrees of companionship, intimacy, affection and mutual assistance".
Sexual promiscuity is rampant, even among Christian teens, and many young people receive little or no moral guidance from their parents.
With each response I am able to understand the student better and learn which way to teach them–visually, auditorily or kinaesthetically.
Through working as an EA I have learned patience, how to set boundaries, and the ability to work through challenges that have come between a student and his or her learning.
There are simply too many dangers associated with this kind of activity.
Instead, they should be encouraged to participate in their parents.
